Tarjinder Gill has worked as a class teacher in challenging inner-city primary schools in Birmingham, London and Leicester. She is currently splitting her time between being a trainer, consultant, intervention teacher, a KS2 teacher advisor and volunteering!! Described once as ‘Old School but New School’, she leans to the more traditional side of teaching while at the same time extolling the need to support the use of digital technologies to promote and enhance teaching and learning. 

The left needs to rethink. As I have argued here, much current thinking and practice in education can hardly be considered left-wing in the first place. There are certain truths that we need to face whether we like it or not.
