Hubris is not something I admire, so I apologise in advance for that in the following post which may appear to be such. It is there for a reason – which is not gratuitously and publicly to bolster my ego…

Exhibit 1:

A few weeks ago, this comment appeared on my YouTube channel; it was not the first.

I left the school concerned four years ago; the students with whom I had longer-term acquaintance have now left, and this comment must therefore have come from someone whom I only taught for a fairly short period. While my rather dramatic disappearance, and indeed the availability of a place to comment may have something to do with it, I am both touched and rather amazed that I still receive comments like this from children…
