IFT Masters

First things first.

During the Easter holidays, I joined the inaugural cohort of the IFT Masters in Expert Teaching. Buzzing with excitement, I arrived with around 20 other candidates for the first conference of the two-year course, led by Peps McCrea, Emma Lark, Kyle Bailey and Nick Rose. I feel hugely privileged to be part of the first iteration of this project, and I wanted to take a minute to share just why I’m so excited about it.

Ever since I started teaching, I’ve been on the lookout for study opportunities that would help me turn myself into an expert. But while I found lots of interesting courses, I always held off applying because I worried that the knowledge I gained would be disconnected from my actions and impact in the classroom.
