For those who have not had the opportunity to experience EdFest firsthand, I would definitely recommend it as something to flag up as part of your personal CPD. Regardless of what you feel you learn from the talks you go to, the simple fact is you get a whole day or even two, to think, talk about and reflect on education and that space and time is a luxury to be revelled in. I have been lucky enough to go for two years on the trot. Last year was an absolute buzz, this year less so, but perhaps because I did not feel there was as much that was new to me. And of course this year, the novelty ‘celebrity’ factor was no longer there. But still, the sheer pleasure of time to think and talk about education made it definitely worthwhile and there were still a few gems which inspired.
