It’s finally over.
The unbelievable circus of GCSE exams is done with for maths teachers up and down the country. I’ve put so much effort into the last couple of weeks with year 11 that the only feeling I have is relief.
The paper wasn’t too bad, a couple of questions which will have tripped some up but those who put the work in should get a good mark and hopefully a grade they deserve. Now the long wait until August begins.
Until then there is plenty to do, and that’s before an email I got at the end of the day today which I’ll get to later.
On Monday I have a pupil premium meeting with the head and a governor reviewing this years maths PP intervention programme and looking ahead to next year. Preparation is done, data is good with PP gaps dropping in all but one year…
