GCSE Residentials

This year my school has tried a new strategy in order to get year 11s fully prepared for their GCSE exams: residential weekends. Most other departments have already completed theirs (the weekend before each exam) when our turn arrived on Friday, so off we went with 50 students, many of them are C/D border liners with a selection of set 1/2 students who were in danger of not making the required progress. This particular year group are more of a concern with results than any previous year and as such these residential weekends were put forward to try and boost their performance in exams.
