Christmas holidays 2013

Work continued during the Christmas holidays to ensure we were in a position to move things forward quickly after the break. We had already called a full GB meeting for 8th January to discuss and agree proposed changes to GB and SLT structure and a more rigorous governor monitoring programme that would require significant time commitment from everyone, along with how we might address the ongoing staffing issues.

Monday 6th January 2014

The day before everyone came back after the break brought some unexpected news – a call from Ofsted (presumably actually from Serco, rather than Ofsted itself?) that they were centrally downgrading the judgement of Leadership and Management (L&M) from Requires Improvement to Inadequate. This would therefore move the overall judgement from Serious Weaknesses to Special Measures. We understand the change in judgement was based solely on the data and nothing else.
