Teaching this monkey new tricks (Teach Meet review)

On Wednesday night I attended an excellent Teach Meet at Monkseaton Middle School, which (after some quick reflection) I’d like to briefly review. I don’t intend to go into huge detail, but instead I’ll briefly bullet the main impact each speaker made on me and where my thinking is now going as a result. I left the session buzzing with ideas and feeling inspired, and hopefully in the next few weeks I’ll be able to put into practice some of the concepts that were discussed and highlighted.

Before the session even began, it was clear that the teachers at Monkseaton Middle (particularly Neil Cottiss who was the chief organiser) had put real thought and effort into the event.
