Practice Made Permanent: ResearchED Birmingham

On Saturday 5th April, I attended the ResearchED conference near Birmingham. These conferences are an attempt to bring teachers and researchers closer together for the benefit of both and, ultimately, for the benefit of students.

I’d been to the London event in September so knew what to expect: a number of speakers to choose from at each time slot, each giving a thirty minute speech and then taking questions. This smaller conference only had two or three options for each talk which reduced feelings of decision paralysis.
