New GCSE grades being introduced from 2015 | Clerk to Governors

Changes to English and maths GCSEs will come into effect from September 2015, with those for other subjects starting later.  One key change is that grades will be numbered from 1 (low) – 9 (top) instead of the current system of A*, A, B, C etc. Responses to the news have been made by ASCL , Geoff Barton, and the TES. The DfE have published the outcome of the consultation on maths and English, and the new content in English language, English literature and maths .
