School Visitors


Just a quick post as I was inspired by First day at School’s post, Lesson Observations…


I had my second observation of the year (under the guise ‘SIP visit’) today.  I actually enjoyed it!  Now I work in a school where I’m not worried that the children may throw a chair at the offending visitor, they’ve taken on a new meaning.  I had the obligatory thirty minutes of blind terror before the day started when the internet broke down, my laptop crashed and my white board refused to switch on, but I embrace the ‘shit happens’ philosophy and by the time I had registered the children they were all up and running again. 


Like all good observations, it started dreadfully.  Of all the times they could have chosen to walk into my classroom, it would of course have to be when I’m transitioning from Maths to Literacy. Fortunately…
