Going Down….


One of the things that is perhaps most difficult in ESBD is that there is no rule book. There is a wealth of information about behaviour management, and hundreds of books, forums, websites and blogs are devoted to the subject. Unfortunately the kids that end up in schools like mine do not respond to most of the behaviour management techniques suggested. Maybe they would have done if they’d been applied consistently in mainstream – who knows? That’s the problem – no-one does know what is best. For years I lived in fear of being found out; I had no clue what I was doing and whether it was the right thing, I always assumed that everyone else knew better than me – then I learnt the most important lesson ever – NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR ESBD KIDS!
